Teach First is a social enterprise registered as a charity which aims to address educational disadvantage in England and Wales. Teach First coordinates an employment-based teaching training programme whereby participants achieve Qualified Teacher Status through the participation in a two-year training programme that involves the completion of a PGDE along with wider leadership skills training and an optional master's degree.
Teach First is the largest recruiter of graduates in the United Kingdom, and was ranked 2nd only to PwC in The Times annual Top 100 Graduate Employers list in 2014 and 2015.
Teach First had been a Salesforce user for 10+ years. Due to the lack of internal Salesforce expertise upon purchase, Teach First decided to onboard a Salesforce implementation partner to design, build and deliver their new cutting-edge sales, customer service and marketing platform. Unfortunately, their initial implementation failed, leaving them with a
heavily over engineered platform which wasn’t fit for purpose. The business had invested heavily on license & implementation costs, as well as building an internal Salesforce team but were yet to see ROI.
In 2020 Teach First wanted to transform their business, their processes, and their customer experience. Technology plays a vital role in the charities success and therefore they secured approval to implement a brand-new Salesforce platform. They estimated this would be a 3-year transformation programme and selected a system integrator as their implementation partner of choice. Their plan was to implement a new platform leveraging Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing cloud and several 3rd party applications. They required multiple interim Salesforce resources to compliment the team from the system intergrator and Synapri was engaged to help resource the project.
Synapri have been the main supplier for the Teach First transformation programme, supplying 10+ interim resources and 5 permanent staff. We continue to work with the senior leadership team as they embark on phase 2 of the programme.
The programme is still ongoing, however Teach First are just about to successfully complete phase 1 and are in the process of starting phase 2.
