Job Summary

We are seeking a Salesforce Product Owner to serve as the lead for Salesforce within a growing logistics and supply chain organization in Houston, TX. This W2 contract role focuses on aligning their Salesforce functionality with business strategy, operational priorities, and user needs while partnering closely with technical delivery teams to ensure successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary business owner for Salesforce products and capabilities across Sales, Service, and Operations.
  • Define product vision, objectives, and success metrics in partnership with business leadership.
  • Gather, prioritize, and refine business requirements into clear user stories and functional requirements.
  • Own and manage the Salesforce backlog, ensuring work is aligned with business value and strategic goals.
  • Act as the main liaison between business stakeholders and Salesforce delivery teams.
  • Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and acceptance of delivered functionality.
  • Make prioritization and scope decisions based on business impact, timelines, and resource constraints.
  • Coordinate with operations, sales, customer service, and IT leadership to align Salesforce solutions with end-to-end processes.
  • Support integrations with TMS, WMS, ERP, and order management systems from a business process perspective.
  • Drive change management, communication, training, and user adoption efforts.
  • Provide regular updates on product progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leaders and executives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Salesforce Product Owner or business-focused Salesforce leadership role.
  • Strong experience partnering with business stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize work.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and common use cases (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, reporting, automation).
  • Experience supporting enterprise Salesforce environments with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and decision-making skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain–driven organizations.
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant).
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Product or Agile certifications (CSPO, PMI-ACP, SAFe PO/PM).
  • Experience driving user adoption and organizational change.
