The Opportunity

We are seeking a Cyber Security Architect to join a major cyber security transformation programme supporting a global investment bank in London.

This is a key architecture role focused on assessing the existing Security Monitoring & Response (SMR) technology and security estate, developing a comprehensive target-state architecture and helping shape the roadmap for the future security environment.

You will work closely with Security, Engineering, Risk and Compliance stakeholders to identify gaps, assess existing capabilities and develop practical recommendations to strengthen the organisation's security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyse the current SMR technology, security controls and capabilities.
  • Develop a comprehensive target-state Cyber Security Architecture.
  • Map current and future-state capabilities against the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF).
  • Identify gaps in security controls, implementation, adoption and utilisation.
  • Develop recommendations and a clear roadmap to address identified gaps.
  • Work closely with Security, Engineering, Risk and Compliance stakeholders.
  • Support the wider cyber security transformation programme and future-state architecture.

Key Requirements

  • Strong background in Cyber Security Architecture or Security Engineering.
  • Experience assessing complex enterprise security environments.
  • Strong understanding of Security Monitoring, Detection & Response.
  • Good knowledge of NIST CSF and security control frameworks.
  • Experience conducting security gap analysis and developing transformation roadmaps.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within financial services or another highly regulated environment is beneficial.
