Lead Engineer

  • Surrey (2 days per week in the office)
  • £90,000 per annum

We are working with a leading insurance firm based in Surrey, they are looking for a highly skilled and dynamic Lead Engineer to join their team. This is a unique opportunity that blends management responsibilities with hands-on technical expertise, ideal for a candidate who thrives in a role that combines leadership with deep technical involvement.

The Lead Engineer will play a pivotal role in steering the technical direction of the company. This position involves managing a small team of talented developers, overseeing project timelines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. While the role is predominantly managerial, the successful candidate will also engage in technical tasks, particularly in areas such as Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, Power Automate, Dynamics 365 CRM, and Marketing Automation 365.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, nurturing a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of solutions using Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and related technologies.
  • Ideally you will have had experience driving the integration of Apigee for API management to enhance Dynamics capabilities.
  • Utilise C#, Java frameworks, and ideally React in various projects.
  • Lead the transition from on-premises to cloud environments, particularly within the Azure platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment and effective communication of technical projects.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proven experience with Dynamics 365, Power Platform (Power Automate, Dynamics 365 CRM, Marketing Automation 365).
  • Experience with API management, ideally Apigee, and integration with Dynamics.
  • Proficiency in C#, Java frameworks, and ideally React.
  • Strong background in Azure environment management and cloud transition projects.
  • Exposure to Genesys integration is a plus.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of navigating complex relationships and communications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to be in the Surrey office two days a week, offering a salary of £90,000 per annum.
