Synapri 2024: Highlights & Key Insights

As 2024 draws to a close, we take a moment to reflect on what has been an extraordinary year for Synapri. From remarkable team growth and industry recognition to exciting new ventures, this year has been a testament to the collective efforts of our incredible team.

Despite a challenging market, Synapri nearly doubled the number placements made, reflecting exceptional growth and adaptability. This success is a testament to the dedication of our team.

A key milestone was the launch of our Public Sector division, led by Lawrence Talmage. Since joining in April, Lawrence has driven incredible progress, supported by Richard Cavey, who also joined us this year, and Callum Holbrook, who transitioned from our Key Accounts team to bring his expertise to this new focus area. Their efforts secured approvals on major frameworks, including Crown Commercial Service RM6277, G-Cloud 14, Constellia Neutral Vendor Framework, and PSR: SOW.

We also expanded our focus within Business Applications, strengthening our presence in established areas like Microsoft and Salesforce while venturing into emerging technologies such as ServiceNow. This strategic move positions us to better serve clients navigating these dynamic industries.

The business has evolved drastically in 5 years, and it felt like a the right time to freshen things up. In March, we unveiled a bold new look and launched a completely redesigned website. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with significant increases in site traffic and record times spent engaging with our content.

Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. We were honoured to be shortlisted for two prestigious Recruiter Awards—Best IT/Technology Recruitment Agency and Recruitment Agency of the Year (20–34 Employees). These nominations highlight the hard work, dedication, and expertise our team brings to the recruitment industry.

We welcomed George Knight and Paige Camies to our Salesforce team, and Sophie Wigmore joined us as Talent and Contracts Manager. Four of our team members celebrated an incredible milestone. Jordan Inwood, Joe Nolan, Cosmina Breazu, and Ian Egdell each marked their 5-year anniversaries with Synapri. Their dedication, talent, and commitment have been instrumental in shaping who we are today, and we are grateful for everything they bring to the team.

As part of our commitment to giving back, Synapri proudly partnered with Abigail's Footsteps as our charity of the year, a charity very close to our hearts. To raise funds, the team participated in a variety of activities, including cook-offs, bake sales, a 5km inflatable challenge, and the “5k, 5 days” challenge throughout February. To cap off these efforts, Chris Landis, Ian Egdell, Michael Parker, and Ryan Eastwood took on the Royal Parks Half Marathon.

Thanks to these incredible efforts and the generosity of everyone who donated, we raised a staggering £11,475. This allowed us to fund an Abi Cooling Cot, which will soon be delivered to St George’s Hospital in Tooting, providing vital support to families in need. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing cause.

2024 marked a milestone year for our sister company, Kinekta, as they celebrated their 2-year anniversary since rebranding. Demonstrating extraordinary growth, Kinekta achieved a 200% increase in contract revenue ending the year in a fantastic position. 

Kinekta’s focus on offshore wind, onshore wind, and transmission and distribution has driven success across Europe. This year, they proudly supported leading developers and Tier 1 contractors at key locations in the North Sea, Baltic Sea, and Irish Sea. Their reach now spans the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, and Spain.

To top it off, they welcomed Harry and Luca to the team, adding further strength to their growing business.

As we close out the year, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Synapri is more than a business; it’s a team. 2024 has been a year of achievements, growth, and new beginnings. Thank you to all the clients and candidates that have put their trust in us again this year and to all the team for their outstanding hard work and commitment to achieve so much in the past 12 months.
