Jake’s Salesforce Recruitment Journey: Six Months of Growth and Success at Synapri
Since joining Synapri six months ago, Jake has made a fantastic impact within our Salesforce team. In a short space of time, he has reached his target, secured his place on our H1 incentive trip to Valletta, Malta, and recently joined our Salesforce Europe team to continue building his expertise across the market.
We caught up with Jake to find out what has contributed to his early success, what’s working in the Salesforce market, and the approach that has helped him build strong relationships with both clients and candidates.
You’ve had a really strong first six months at Synapri. What do you think has contributed most to your success so far?
I think what’s impacted my performance the most is the environment here at Synapri. I’ve been able to build on what I already knew by learning from a great team, working alongside experienced consultants, and staying consistent with the way I approach both candidates and clients.
From day one, I’ve tried to put the effort in every day, listen to feedback, and continuously improve. Having access to a team that is willing to share knowledge and support each other has made a big difference, especially when building confidence in a new market.
Synapri’s focus on specialist recruitment has also really helped. Being able to dedicate time to understanding the Salesforce ecosystem, the challenges businesses are facing, and the career aspirations of candidates allows us to have more valuable conversations and build stronger relationships.
What’s been working particularly well for you in the Salesforce market?
The Salesforce community is very well connected, so taking the time to build relationships and keeping in regular contact throughout the process has made a big difference.
I’ve found that the best results come from understanding people beyond just the immediate requirement. Whether that’s getting to know a candidate’s long-term career goals or understanding the challenges a client is trying to solve, those conversations help build trust and create better outcomes.
Salesforce is a constantly evolving market, so staying close to the community, keeping up with trends, and understanding the skills businesses need has been really important.
Is there anything you think you’re doing differently that’s helped you stand out?
I always try to take a consultative approach. I focus on understanding what candidates are looking for and making sure opportunities genuinely align with their career aspirations.
For me, it’s not just about making a placement; it’s about making sure it’s the right move for the candidate and the right fit for the client. Taking the time to understand motivations, expectations and long-term goals helps create stronger relationships and better results for everyone involved.
How did it feel to hit your target and secure your place on the incentive trip to Valletta?
It was a great feeling. Joining a new business always comes with new challenges, so hitting my target within the first six months was something I was really proud of.
It was rewarding to see the hard work paying off and to know that the consistency and effort I’d put in was making an impact. It’s also been great to have something to work towards as part of the wider team, and I’m really looking forward to celebrating the achievement in Valletta.
It’s definitely motivated me to keep pushing myself and continue developing.
What have you learned most since joining Synapri?
Being surrounded by experienced colleagues who are always happy to share knowledge and provide constructive feedback has helped me develop my understanding of the market, as well as improve my approach with both candidates and clients.
I’ve learned how important it is to keep learning, ask questions and be open to feedback. Recruitment is an industry where there is always more to understand, and having a supportive team environment has helped me progress quickly.
What advice would you give to someone looking to succeed in recruitment?
Stay consistent. Recruitment has its highs and lows, but if you’re willing to keep learning, ask questions and put the work in every day, the results will follow.
Building relationships takes time, so being patient and staying focused on doing the right things consistently is key.
What are you most looking forward to over the next 12 months?
I’ve recently joined the Salesforce Europe team, which I’m really excited to get started on.
Joining a new team gives me a great opportunity to continue growing my network across the Salesforce market, develop my knowledge further and learn from an experienced team.
I’m looking forward to continuing to build relationships with candidates and clients across Europe and playing a bigger role in helping businesses find the Salesforce talent they need.
