Data Engineer

Data Engineer needed on a contract basis for a leading research business based in Cambridge.
Our client is looking for a Data Engineer with extensive experience working using both Python and SQL for advanced analysis and large-scale data management. This role will be responsible for supporting various projects by re-engineering their manual data flows allowing the business to identify opportunities re-use existing data flows and enable scaling. In addition to re-engineering the manual data flows, this role will also be supporting their ETL scripts ensuring that they are performing as best they can.
Key Responsibilities:
- Re-engineering manual data flows
- Writing ETL scripts to ensure the ETL processes are running smoothly
- Taking a DataOps approach
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience working with Python and SQL
- Experience writing ETL scripts
- Ability to develop reproducible BI reports
