Application Developer

Application Developer – Java – Milton Keynes

Our client, a global leading sports broadcasting business are looking to hire into a newly created Application Support function.

This is exciting opportunity to join a newly created function to provide Development and Application Support to critical business systems and applications. The Application Support Team’s primary role is to improve site-reliability. Not only taking technical escalations, but constantly looking at ways to improve the monitoring and stability of our platform. Working closely with colleagues in Software Development, the team plays a key role when taking on new services into live operation.

Coding experience is required for these positions. The client have a modern tech stack.

Experience needs to include:

• Ability to diagnose faults with Java (typically spring boot) applications, with some experience in .Net being desirable.
• Ability to create technical solutions, which will involve making code changes before getting business sign off on the change and that it doesn’t impact downstream systems.
• Possess the skills required to created automated workarounds to resolve incidents before a permanent solution can be implemented.
