Global Data Protection Manager

Role requires an experienced Global Data Protection Manager to work with the existing Data Protection and Legal teams to help build a data protection culture by driving required changes across this global business. Reporting to the Head of Info Sec the DPM will be responsible for overseeing and driving the implementation of the Global Data Protection Model across the organisation thereby ensuring that we meet our obligations under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA2018).

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Expert knowledge of data protection legislation, in particular the GDPR, and a good understanding of other major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation worldwide
• Understanding of business process documentation, developing policies and defining best practices for data protection change and communications
• Conceptual understanding of information and data security by design
• Demonstrable experience of supporting subject access requests, data breach management and data protection awareness requirements
• Practical knowledge of information security, records and change management gained within a complex privacy programme or project environment
• Experience of working within a large global organisation
• Strong change and project management skills including the ability to manage time well, prioritise effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
• Detail-orientated approach needed to recommend and implement strategic improvements on a range of data privacy and data protection issues
• Certified EU GDPR practitioner
• Additional recognized privacy qualifications e.g. CIPP, ISEB, C-DPO (desirable)
• ISO27001 Lead Implementer or other IT Security certification CISSP, CISM (desirable)
