IT Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer required to join a dynamic organisation within the education sector in East London. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting the technology infrastructure that underpins teaching and learning in schools. 

The successful candidate will be solely responsible for providing first and second line support to staff and students, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems across the institution. They will manage and maintain the Office365 environment, handling user accounts, permissions, and email systems, while also administering and troubleshooting Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policies. The role includes overseeing networking infrastructure such as switches, routers, and firewalls, as well as diagnosing and resolving hardware issues across a variety of devices, including PCs, laptops, tablets, and interactive whiteboards.

The IT Support Engineer will actively contribute to project work during school holidays and be responsible for collaborating with school leadership to ensure the IT strategy aligns with educational objectives. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Office365 and Windows Server administration. 
  • Proficiency in networking concepts, routers and switches, wireless technologies.
  • Experience with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and professional approach. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in face-to-face settings.
