Principal Software Engineer

Are you a seasoned Software Engineer with a passion for delivering positive change? I am on the hunt for a Principal Software Engineer looking to embark on a new challenge with one of our key end customers in the sports broadcasting industry.

This is a senior hire for the organisation where you will be at the forefront of their technical strategy, leading the architecture, design, and implementation of their software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

Working in an Agile environment you will be responsible for leading technical projects across multiple domains, driving adoption of best practices in coding, testing and deployment while participating in design reviews, system architecting and adopting best practice.

Location: South East London/Kent (3 days onsite weekly)

Ideal skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with ideally some previous leadership skills
• Proficiency in using .NET based development tools using C#, with a deep understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, manage projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Microservice architecture experience using tools such as Kubernetes ad Docker
• Experience writing and maintaining Unit, integration, E2E and regression tests and test suites.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS utilising tools like Lambda, SNS, SQS and DynamoDB
