Linux Storage Engineer

Location: Remote/London - Hybrid working with some travel to Scotland.

Essential Skills

• Experience with Linux related technologies such that you are proficient in installation and system administration tasks.
• Exposure to storage solutions (Ceph) with experience in management and upgrade tasks.
• Experience with ansible automation.
• Experience with Linux scripting languages, for example Bash or Python.
• Strong, evidence based, troubleshooting abilities and an eye for detail.
• Must be a self-starter and work productively with minimal supervision alone and in collaboration with own team and others around the organisation.
• Familiarity with common services, applications and protocols, for example HTTPS, SSH, DNS, NTP or SSL.
• Familiarity in Agile/DevOps working practice within a similarly skilled technical team.
• Must demonstrate an enthusiastic, can-do approach working productively both alone and in collaboration with team and others around the organisation.

Desirable Skills

• Experience of open-source monitoring tools such as Nagios or Zabbix.
• Experience with source control.
• Previous experience of Working in Government.
