Job Description
- The Cyber Security Analysts are responsible for detecting, investigating and reporting potential security incidents occurring within the Authority’s ICT estate. The role will include analysing security alerts, utilising the available tools, and writing accurate security incident reports.
- The Cyber Security Analysts is responsible for assessing security vulnerabilities in Authority ICT systems using vulnerability scanning tools, vendor vulnerability data and threat intelligence. The Cyber Security Analysts is also responsible for producing vulnerability reports with prioritised remediation recommendations for the Authority in accordance with defined service levels.
- The Cyber Security Analysts will also be responsible for managing enquiries that come into the Service from the Authority and providing administrative support to operational activities. This includes tracking service requests and incidents, creating pre-defined reports and coordinating internal communications.
- The Cyber Security Analysts is required to maintain up to date knowledge of technology and cyber threats drawing on internal and external resources, as well as contributing to the Service’s body of technical and cyber knowledge.
- We are looking for a minimum of 2 years working as SOC engineer / analyst responding to security alerts and incidents.
Our client operates hybrid working, occasional client site visits will be required into Glasgow, Milton Keynes, or London.
