Application Operations Engineer

Location: London (Hybrid) - 3 days per week in the office. 

A specialist role responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of estates MI including supporting users of Planon, service management of third party suppliers, undertaking testing of new functionality, providing documentation in support of that functionality, the design and production of training packages, release management, system upgrades, system security, and reporting.

The role holder provides support including user account management, requests for change triage and prioritisation, 1-2-1 training and assistance, and access management. The production of documentation to guide functional testing, release management, training material is a key part of the role, and there will be an opportunity to become involved in the production of new reporting capabilities and dashboards.

In this role you will also be responsible for:

Configuration Change & Release Management

  • Deliver secure config changes in accordance with industry and IDD best practice.
  • Provide accurate documentation in support of all releases and test processes (e.g. functional testing, regression testing and support User Acceptance Testing).
  • Close collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), stakeholder groups and third party partners.

Training Support

  • To analyse business needs, and to ensure new config meets those needs, in a way that users can readily understand and apply.
  • To assist in the design and production of training material (e.g. Knowledge Based Articles (KBAs), videos and documentation).

Environment Management

  • To ensure that environments are accessible and updated in accordance with operational requirements and Planon contractual obligations.
  • The provision of specialist user access, management and controls (e.g. single sign-on).

Reporting

  • To capture, understand and translate user requirements into new dashboards and reports.
  • Working closely with IDD, stakeholders and estate specialists to improve the usefulness of estate MI, to enhance the management of the client’s portfolio, through improved visibility of estate costs, compliance metrics and critical health and safety data.
