Payments Infrastructure & Delivery Lead Payments

Synapri are recruiting for a Payments Infrastructure and Delivery Lead, to work for leading trade body in London.

The ideal candidate will have a background in project management and delivery, along with strong knowledge of payment policy and industry practices.

In this role, you will work closely with senior policy advisors on key issues related to UK, European, and international payments and regulatory matters.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Extensive expertise in the payments sector, particularly in UK and international payment schemes, with a strong understanding of policy and regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of the broader payments landscape, including cards and interbank payments.
• Experience in areas such as Confirmation of Payee, Strong Customer Authentication, Contactless Payments, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), Crypto, RTGS, and payment schemes is advantageous but not essential.
• Proven track record of managing relationships across various payments working groups and financial trade bodies within the EU.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to engage with, facilitate, and oversee significant infrastructure changes within the payment’s ecosystem.
• Experience leading and managing infrastructure delivery projects when required.
• Ability to identify potential risks and develop strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
