About the Company: Synapri is collaborating with a respected Financial Services organisation in their search for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer. With a longstanding reputation for excellence, this organisation is committed to fortifying its internal security function to adapt to the evolving threat landscape.

Job Description: This pivotal role entails advancing the organisation's internal security capabilities and strengthening its overall security posture. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of modern cybersecurity threats, with a particular focus on vulnerability and risk management and developing strategies to implement a robust, future-proof security framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Threat Landscape Analysis: Keeping up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends to ensure resilience.
• Vulnerability Assessment: Conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments to pinpoint weaknesses in the current security architecture and providing recommendations for remediation.
• Security Stack Enhancement: Leveraging expertise in the Microsoft Security stack, including MS Defender, MS Sentinel, and Purview.
• Risk Management: Developing and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate security vulnerabilities and protect critical assets.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Security stack, including MS Defender, MS Sentinel, and Purview.
• Strong background in infrastructure, with expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualisation, and networking protocols.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Qualys or similar vulnerability management tools.
