Senior Backend Javascript Developer

Senior Backend Javascript developer required to join an exciting RegTech company on a permanent basis.

Part of the role will be joining one of the cross functional scrum teams and will be responsible for designing and documenting software solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements, as well as implementing product code, following best practices for maintainability, testability and performance. The role will also give the opportunity to take a lead role in some of the duties and responsibilities, as well as coaching and mentoring some of the more junior members of the team.

Essential experience:

• Proficient across the full software development lifecycle using Node.js and related tools,
• Extensive experience designing and building high-performance, scalable and secure commercial enterprise applications
• Extensive knowledge of Amazon Web Services, microservices, REST API’s, SQL and relational database (ideally PostgreSQL) as well as NoSQL (DynamoDB), Docker/Kubernetes (EKS), Elasticsearch
• Active interest in tracking emerging technologies along with their potential benefits and limitations
• Experience working as part of cross-functional product teams using various agile methodologies
• Experience working within a fast-paced and growing scale-up B2B or B2C product organisation
