Principal Engineer
- London based office - twice a week
- £120,000 per annum
Principal Engineer required on a permanent basis for a leading FinTech business that specialise in payment solutions. This role will require travel to their London based office twice a week.
The successful candidate will have experience working at a Lead/Principal Engineer level in a modern Java environment, helping to drive engineering best practices across their organisation.
The Principal Engineer will lead and hold great value in the development and design of the products and supporting systems across the business, whilst liaising with other teams accordingly to identify software needs. The successful person hired will be working at a high level within the business taking ownership and driving the technical success in a high growth fast-paced environment.
This role would be ideal for someone who wants to take responsibility in managing and planning the businesses technical landscape while remaining hands on with architecture, coding and design!
Key responsibilities:
- Help to drive engineering best practice across the business
- Lead in the design and development of the organisation’s products
- Adhere to Agile methodology
- Proactively identify issues and opportunities to affect change across the business
Experience required:
- Extensive knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
- Experience working with AWS Services
- Comprehensive understanding of Microservices Architecture.
- Fintech experience (highly advantageous)
