Principal Engineer

Principal Engineer required on a permanent basis for a FinTech business that specialise in payment solutions. This role will require travel to the London office once or twice a week.
The successful candidate will have experience working at a Lead/Principal Engineer level in a modern Java environment, helping to drive engineering best practices across their organisation. The Principal Engineer will lead in the development and design of the products and supporting systems across the business, whilst liaising with other teams to identify software need.
Responsibilities:
- Help to drive engineering best practice across the business
- Lead in the design and development of the organisation’s products
- Adhere to Agile methodology
- Proactively identify issues and opportunities to affect change across the business
Experience required:
- Extensive knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
- Experience working with AWS Services
- Comprehensive understanding of Microservices Architecture.
