Kafka Architect / Technical Lead

Synapri have partnered with a large credit management / financial services company in their search for a Kafka Architect to join the team on a permanent basis.

Our client does business in 24 countries in Europe plus Latin America.

What you will do:

• Ensuring platform operation and governance
• Ensuring sufficient capacity and skills of core  team 
• Building and leading the platform development team

We think you have:

• 3+ years of experience with Confluent Kafka, or similar products (Amazon MSK, Azure Event Hubs, etc.);
• Proven experience designing event-driven architectures;
• Experience designing and implementing governance models, including topic creation, schema validation, security, retention model, versioning, etc.
• User guide development and training overviews for supporting teams;
• Process automation and new application on-boarding;
• Design monitoring solutions and baseline statistics reporting to support the implementation;
• Knowledge and experience in event-driven architecture design;
• Planning and execution of infrastructure projects as well as on-boarding of new application development projects;
• Experience with logging, monitoring, alerting for a Kafka platform utilizing tools like ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics;
• Experience with DevOps tooling for Infrastructure-as-Code like Ansible and Terraform as we as pipelines to create the Kafka platform on Kubernetes;
