Director of Engineering
- Edinburgh
- £125,000 - £130,000 per annum
Director of Engineering required on a permanent basis for a FinTech business that specialise in payment solutions. This role will require travel to the Edinburgh office once or twice a week.
The successful candidate will have experience managing large engineering teams, including Engineering Managers in a fast-paced environment. The Director of Engineering will be imperative to helping define the product vision and technical strategy moving forward by working closely with the Product Director.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the product teams to help define the product vision
- Take ownership of the technical strategy
- Liaising with Engineering Managers to ensure that quality software is being delivered on-time
- Ensure that the short and long-term product/technical vision is being adhered to
Experience required:
- Experience leading large engineering environments, including Engineering Managers
- Excellent technical understanding of modern development practices including Microservices Architecture and Cloud Technologies
- Experience working with both on-shore and off-shore teams
- Knowledge of Java/Spring Boot (highly desirable – not required)
