Backend Developer

We are working with a global security company based in London, seeking a talented Backend Developer to join their dynamic and innovative team.

With the extremely flexible hybrid working conditions, the current team members are only required to be in the office 4/5 times per year. This opportunity provides the freedom to work remotely (within the UK) while contributing to cutting-edge projects in the security industry.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain backend systems for large-scale projects.
• Utilise your expertise in backend languages, particularly Golang and Python, to build robust and scalable solutions.
• Contribute to the development of REST APIs and microservices to enhance our security offerings.
• Work with databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MongoDB, for efficient data management.
• Participate in an agile environment, working closely with two separate teams within a collaborative setting.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of commercial experience as a Backend Developer, with a focus on working on large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Golang and Python is preferred, but experience with other backend languages combined with a keen interest in learning Golang and Python will also be considered.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and microservices is essential.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to software development.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid working environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
