Policy Payments and Innovation Analyst – Outside IR35 Contract

  • Central London 2 days a week
  • £375 - £425 per day

My client is recruiting for a Manager of Payments and Innovation to work on The new digital money (including central bank digital currency) and digital-ID. The successful applicant will also be expected to work across the Payments and Innovation directorate as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Providing input to the secretariat for the New Digital Money Steering Group and the Digital PSPs Group.
  • Lead the companies engagement on Central Bank Digital Currencies, working within wider policy projects supporting the development of policy on cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.
  • Providing support on the development of re-usable digital identity in the banking and finance industry to deliver positive outcomes for customers.
  • Developing high quality policy papers and briefings on payments and innovation policy and strategy issues.
  • Providing analysis and critique of digital, payments and innovation policy issues and assist senior colleagues to build consensus with members.
  • Working with other team members to deliver high quality, well-attended events that showcase the companies work.

Skills

  • Previous policy experience is desirable, along with the ability to draft high quality reports and briefing documents.
  • Proven ability to provide concise analysis and recommended options on policy-related matters.
  • Experience of project management in a financial services or professional services firm is desirable.
  • Experience in financial services or payments policy and strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills together with the ability to effectively engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels.
