Payments Manager – Credit and Debit Cards

I am currently representing a leading financial institution, The role is vital to supporting the business in shaping its consumer credit policy at a senior level, and to inform and engage with members on all changes impacting unsecured consumer credit, including but not limited to the development of consumer credit, consumer debt and credit information legislation and regulation.

• Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues in the credit team and other policy areas within the business.
• Maintain a comprehensive network of contacts within the UK credit industry
• Strong Experience of Credit, Debit cards space, issuing and acquiring.   
• Support representational activities within the UK, including media and campaigns work
• A high level of knowledge and expertise of the financial services environment especially around consumer credit, debit and credit data and the operational process that support these activities together with an understanding of the external challenges faced by our members.
• Excellent communication skills are required
• Experience of stakeholder management
• Experience of operational or policy work
• Ability to work within multi-disciplinary policy teams, provide input to others’ work and deliver excellent outcomes in a timely and agile fashion.
• Capable of taking the lead as the subject matter expert and credibly presenting to high-level governance committees

• Location: London – Hybrid working
• Salary Expectations: £75,000 to £85,000 – Open to flex for a suitable candidate
