Director of Payments, Issuing and Acceptance

Synapri are currently recruiting for a financial services trade body, which specialise in innovative banking and finance, the organisation is looking for a Director of Payments, issuing and acceptance.

The Director, Issuing and Acceptance will lead and formulate payments industry policy matters, oversee the sector engagement & advocacy, and drive change & innovation opportunities on behalf of its members.

This role will have a particular focus on issuing and acceptance in payments, including, but not limited to, developing a holistic view of members issuing needs across different payments. Supporting the industry in understanding the drivers of usage and adoption of payments.

Lead on all aspects of policy activity, supporting the organisation to achieve its strategic objective as a recognised centre of excellence on UK payment markets through the development of strong, collaborative evidence-based policy, ensuring that customer needs are understood and met.

• Provide leadership and expertise in:  The development of policy positions, utilising the Payments Products & Service Board, Policy Committee and Payments UK policy position working groups.
• Driving greater collaboration across payments policy to ensure that developments are coordinated and aligned with the organisation’s broader objectives and strategy and represent the diversity in member views.
• Manage stakeholder relationship with the payments representative on Board.
• Drive collaborative change and innovation opportunities on behalf of members, including, for example, developing a programme of training and events to support professional development across the membership.

Salary Range: £100,000 to £150,000 + Excellent Benefits including Bonus and Pension.  

Location: London – Hybrid working
